post; like most darks, the stallion had a lust for blood. an unsatisfiable desire for the thick, crimson liquid that coursed through his veins, and all other equines alike. though what partially made him different from the many other horses out there was that his blood ran cold, and without mercy. perhaps the only mercy he had ever known was to spare a victim if it was not worth consuming, for what would be the point of eating skin and bones? he was no pathetic scavenger. nor would he 'consume' those of his own alliance, for all who were dark in his opinion were equals. equals who deserved respect, power and had stronger instinctal drives and urge to survive would d**n well get his respect whether they liked it or not, though the black king's respect was not shared out like presents on a birthday. no, he kept it hidden and locked away inside, like his emotions which he would only hint at or express if it was to his advantage or even personal liking.

as the sable beast strode along the narrow, winding path in some godforsaken forest, he began to ponder how exactly he had gotten in such a place. for miles now he had been wandering, and since he had set out on his journey, no other equine had even touched his sences. not even an illusion of some random horse arranged by his twisted mind had appeared before his occulus, which was rather strange for him. upon journeys, or when he spent long periods of time alone, darke would often get such illusions. it didn't matter what, or who of, he would just get them; appearing as real as real could be, but not actually being so. that's what everyone else back home had told him anyway, but they could have just been mocking and tormenting the twisted, arrogant beast he had become today - maybe those such actions contributed to it? oh, he wouldn't be surprised. the ghastly, diabolical creatures didn't deserve to call themselves equines in his opinion. ripping themselves to shreds and holding so-called 'sacred' rituals.. pah, it was all nonsense and excuses. then, just when darke had been beginning to despair, a small clearing appeared before him and lead to who knows where..
